Who said kid food can’t be gourmet?!
The other night I decided on Grilled Cheese sandwiches for dinner. I often make them to accompany a homemade tomato vegetable soup but this time I wanted something a little ‘more’ for my taste buds. I settled on this delicious version of a kid food favorite.
- 8 Slices Sourdough Bread
- 1 Tomato, sliced
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- Pesto Sauce
Start by heating your grill to medium. Spread the inside of two slices of bread with pesto sauce. Add a slice of tomato and a slice of provolone. Close sandwich and lightly spread mayo on outside (some prefer butter here). Grill sandwich 3-4 minutes on each side until cheese is fully melted.
